The Harriton Association offers a wide range of programs and events throughout the year. From hands-on living history demonstrations, crafting and maker’s classes to special behind-the-scenes tours, there is something for people of all ages and interests. Signature Harriton events include our Father’s Day Ice Cream Social, Summer Day Camps, The Farmstead Fair, and the Heirloom Apple Tasting & Baking Contest.

Featuring all-you-can-eat Golden Gurnsey ice cream “imported” from Lancaster County, yard games, and our popular farm animals. Free admission for fathers or the favorite father figure in your life.

Harriton Summer Day Camps

Held annually in July and August

Summer day camp weeks at Harriton House weave together history, hands-on learning, farm animals, crafts, and nature exploration all within the 13 acres of Harriton Park. Led by the professional museum staff and volunteers, Harriton’s Summer Day Camp activities are designed to meet Pennsylvania State Curriculum standards for grades 2 – 6. Registration is limited and our available spaces generally fill up fast. To register your child, please email to: RSVP@harritonhouse.org

35th Annual Farmstead Fair

Saturday, September 27, 2025, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

The Harriton Farmstead Fair is held annually on the last Saturday in September. Fun for the whole family the Fair includes games, food & beverage vendors, live music, farm animals, birds-of-prey, craft vendors, living history demonstrations, house tours and the highly anticipated Attic Treasures Sale. Admission and parking are FREE!

Attic Treasures Sale

Sale opens at 10:00am during our Farmstead Fair

One of the most highly anticipated activities at the Farmstead Fair is the Attic Treasures Sale. We accept donations of gently used household items, furniture, collectibles, toys, games for sale at the Farmstead Fair to benefit the Harriton Association. We are unable to accept donations of books, clothing, bedding, soft upholstered furniture, and electronics.

Donations can be dropped off at Harriton’s Bank Barn Administration Building Monday through Saturday between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. It helps if you can call ahead, 610.525.0201, so we can be ready to help you unload your car.

Heirloom Apple Tasting & Baking Contest

Heirloom Apple Tasting & Baking Contest

Saturday, October 25, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Taste and learn about heirloom apple varieties you will not find in a grocery store. While the selection of apples depends on the growing season, previous apple varieties have included Smokehouse, Bottle Greening, Esopus Spitzenburg, and Rambo. Apples are also available for purchase by the pound. Enter the Baking Contest with prizes donated by the King Arthur Baking Company.

School’s Out Program for Lower Merion Parks & Recreation

School’s Out Programs at Harriton House are offered through Lower Merion Parks & Recreation to provide activities for students on days during the academic year when school is not in session. The programs at Harriton are themed and have included cooking in the late 18th century kitchen, life on the Harriton Farm, and crafting.
